- Here’s the full recipe for the Chocolate Cake with Coffee-Cocoa Cream:
For the Cake:
150g sugar
3 eggs
A pinch of salt
8g vanilla sugar
150ml milk
120ml oil
20g cocoa powder
230g flour
15g baking powder
For the Coffee-Cocoa Cream:
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
200ml heavy cream
1 tablespoon instant coffee
30g powdered sugar (or to taste)
★Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour your cake pans.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs with sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until the mixture becomes pale and creamy.
Add the oil and milk, then whisk until smooth.
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder, then add to the wet ingredients. Mix gently to combine.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
While the cake is cooling, prepare the coffee-cocoa cream. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream, and once it starts to simmer, add cocoa powder, coffee, and powdered sugar. Stir well until smooth.
Allow the cream to cool slightly, then mix with the cooled cake layers for a decadent finish.
