Crispy Cheese-Stuffed Bread Triangles

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices of sandwich bread (edges trimmed)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or any cheese you like)
  • 1 egg (for sealing and coating)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying (or bake for a healthier version)

Instructions:

  1. Flatten the bread: Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread.
  2. Add the cheese: Place a small amount of cheese in the center of each slice. Fold the bread into a triangle, sealing the edges by pressing with your fingers. You can use a little beaten egg to help seal the edges.
  3. Coat the triangles:
    • Dip each triangle in flour.
    • Then dip in beaten egg.
    • Finally, coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Cook:
    • Fry: Heat oil in a pan and fry each triangle until golden brown and crispy.
    • OR Bake: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F), place on a baking tray, spray lightly with oil, and bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden.

Serve hot with your favorite dip or sauce!
