Crispy Cheese-Stuffed Bread Triangles
Ingredients:
- 6 slices of sandwich bread (edges trimmed)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or any cheese you like)
- 1 egg (for sealing and coating)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying (or bake for a healthier version)
Instructions:
- Flatten the bread: Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread.
- Add the cheese: Place a small amount of cheese in the center of each slice. Fold the bread into a triangle, sealing the edges by pressing with your fingers. You can use a little beaten egg to help seal the edges.
- Coat the triangles:
- Dip each triangle in flour.
- Then dip in beaten egg.
- Finally, coat with breadcrumbs.
- Cook:
- Fry: Heat oil in a pan and fry each triangle until golden brown and crispy.
- OR Bake: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F), place on a baking tray, spray lightly with oil, and bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden.
Serve hot with your favorite dip or sauce!
