Moist White Cake with Whipped Frosting
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large egg whites
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
For the Frosting:
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Make the Cake Batter: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg whites one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Combine and Bake: Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with milk. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Let it cool completely.
- Prepare the Frosting: Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Assemble: Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled cake. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
