This Lemon Cream Cheese Brioche Bread Will Melt in Your Mouth! 🥐💛

Ingredients:

For the Brioche Dough:

  • 3 ½ cups (440g) all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup (50g) sugar
  • 1 packet (7g) instant yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup (120ml) warm milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened

For the Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup (50g) sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

For the Egg Wash:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions:

  1. Make the Dough:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
    • Add warm milk and eggs, mixing until a dough forms.
    • Gradually add butter and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
    • Cover and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  2. Prepare the Filling:
    • Beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, lemon zest, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Assemble the Bread:
    • Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
    • Spread the cream cheese filling over the center.
    • Fold or twist the dough to encase the filling.
    • Place in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise for 30-45 minutes.
  4. Bake:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Brush the top with egg wash.
